We Made the Small Stuff Matter

Galoob started because someone looked at a toy car and thought, “What if it actually fit in your pocket?” Not as a gimmick—as the whole point. We spent decades proving that smaller could be better: more vehicles per square foot of bedroom carpet, entire cities that pack into a shoebox, chase scenes that happen on your kitchen table. Micro Machines weren’t just tiny toys. They were a fundamentally different way to play.

The brand disappeared for a while, swallowed up by bigger companies that didn’t really get why scale mattered. But the people who grew up launching our cars off ramps made from encyclopedias never forgot. They kept their collections. They introduced their kids to them. And they kept asking when we were coming back. So we did—because there’s still something irreplaceable about a toy that fits entirely in a kid’s hand but opens up in their imagination.

We’re not trying to compete with app-based everything or toys that need WiFi to function. Micro Machines still work the same way they did in 1987: you take them out of the package and you play. No batteries, no updates, no subscriptions. Just cars small enough to lose in the couch cushions and big enough in possibility that kids build entire worlds around them. That’s what we made then, and it’s what we’re making now.
